TOPEKA, Kan. (Nov. 11, 2008) – Television programming for the 2008 SCCA National Championship Runoffs begins this Wednesday, Nov. 12, on SPEED with the Touring 2 and Formula Mazda National Championship races.

The Board of Directors extends their appreciation to Cheryl Babbe for stepping forward to serve the membership of the Arctic Alaska Region as Regional Executive. The election meeting, which was advertised for all members to attend and brought them up-to-date with the challenges the Board has faced this year, was held at the offices of member Al Mills, Monday, September 8th, 6:45-7:02PM.

Sunday, August 3rd come Road Rally as we join Rallymaster Speter Mathew at the cafe at CARRS at Northern Lights/Muldoon for an 8am registration of the "Shift 'n' Shinola" Road Rally! The event will tour motorists through the eastside of Anchorage and wind them up downtown at the "Show 'n' Shine" Car Show at the Delaney Parkstrip.

Bartlett Beat in the Heat Bonanza

August 2^nd at Bartlett High School, Anchorage

C'mon out August 2^nd and see if you can keep from getting Beat in the Heat at this year's 6^th championship event. This will be our first event of the year at Bartlett High School so you don't need to travel far to have a great day of Solo racing. It will be a casual event with no formal lunch provided. Please be sure to bring your lunch with you because there will not be time during the lunch break to go out and get something. It has been a couple years since we had an event at Bartlett so please help us take advantage of this great local site and c'mon out and have some fun.
