***UPDATE***

I would like to whole heartedly thank all of you who registered early and who busted humps to prepare for the RallyCross on the 16th.
It is without joy that I have to announce that the event for Saturday, January 16th is cancelled.
The region’s policy in place to provide for a safe and effective event requiring at least ten participants has not been met.
I took the time Sunday to call over 40 past and present RallyCross participants to invite them to the event.
Please do not let this discourage you from participating in the next event on February 13th.
Many of us have worked hard to get these events planned and advertized, and that is not un-noticed, I appreciate all of your time.

If any of you have interest in this sport and would like to continue it, as I have always said, without you and your interest, it would not happen.
I would like you to let me know if you will participate as competitors in a Spring/Summer RallyCross series, I am afraid that the love for this type of racing is limited to a select few, I hope that others come forward to help continue this part of the SCCA program.

SCCA Arctic Alaska Region presents, Sam McGee’s Inferno RallyCross Championship #3
Robert Service, “The Bard of the Yukon” was born on January 16th, 1874. Last year in January the SCCA held it’s coldest RallyCross and had all of us feeling like Same McGee:
“Well, he seemed so low that I couldn’t say no; then he says with a sort of moan:
“It’s the cursed cold, and it’s got right hold till I’m chilled clean through to the bone.
Yet ‘taint being dead—it’s my awful dread of the icy grave that pains;
So I want you to swear that, foul or fair, you’ll cremate my last remains.”
While we are hoping for warmer weather than last year, it’ll still be chilly and nippy! I doubt any of us will be looking for a fire to hop into, but be sure to bundle up, check your oil and start your engines!
